Thus, at first the Ukrainian delegation was received by national security advisers of the USA, Great Britain, Germany and France.
The delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko, included Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov, Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova, and Deputy Head of the Office of the President Mykola Tochytskyi. The American side was headed by Jake Sullivan, the US President's national security advisor.
At the meeting, they discussed the issue of strengthening Ukrainian air defense and protection of energy infrastructure, as well as the critical importance of the urgent supply of weapons and equipment for Ukraine. Also discussed were the issues of expanding joint production of weapons and investment by allies in the defense sector of Ukraine.
Крім того, сторони детально розглянули імплементацію Українського договору, прийнятого на 75-му саміті НАТО у Вашингтоні, і узгодили план дій для реалізації підписаних безпекових угод. Важливою темою була реалізація Формули миру.
Next, US Deputy Secretary of Labor for International Relations Thea Lee discussed with the delegation the reform of Ukrainian labor legislation. In particular, strengthening the role of women in the labor market, training and retraining programs for internally displaced persons (IDPs), people with disabilities, and veterans.
It is worth noting that the USA actively supports labor market reform in Ukraine. This week, the team of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine presented the draft of the new Code of Labor Laws to member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine. USAID's RADA: The Next Generation project is also helping to highlight the reform.
