After the shelling of Poltava, the United States will continue to focus on strengthening Ukraine's air defenses, promising more assistance "in the coming weeks." This decision was made by the US government after another massive Russian attack on Poltava.
It was announced during an audio briefing by White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby.
The White House National Security Advisor expressed his condolences to the Ukrainians after another massive Russian attack on Poltava.
"This is yet another horrific reminder of the extent of Putin's brutality against the people of Ukraine as he seeks to punish them for their own invasion of that country by targeting critical infrastructure and trying to make their lives and livelihoods more difficult", Kirby said.
He added that just 10 days ago, the U.S. announced another military assistance package that includes HIMARS munitions, anti-drone equipment, ammunition, Javelins, anti-tank systems, and more in the coming weeks.
He stressed that U.S. President Joe Biden had "made it clear" that U.S. support for Ukraine was "unwavering, and we will continue to focus on strengthening their army and air defenses against such attacks".
