In Washington, DC, a peaceful rally was held in front of the White House as part of the fifth Ukraine Action Summit to draw attention to critical issues related to Ukraine. Ukrainian activists from the organizations American Coalition for Ukraine and Razom for Ukraine staged a protest, calling on US lawmakers to help Ukraine use Western weapons to strike deep into Russia.
This was reported by a correspondent of Vilni media.
As noted by the American Coalition for Ukraine, the Biden administration has provided Ukraine with long-range missiles, such as ATGMs, but has largely restricted Ukraine's use of these weapons in Russia.
"According to the Institute for the Study of War, more than 230 war-critical military targets in Russia are within range of Ukrainian ATGMs. The Biden administration should lift this ban and allow Ukraine to strike all legitimate military targets in Russia, as permitted by the international law of armed conflict," the organization's activists said.
Despite the rain, more than fifty people lined up in front of the White House with banners and placards, chanting, "Let Ukraine strike back! The Ukrainian community in the United States called on American lawmakers to finally allow Ukraine to strike military targets in Russia.
