Tomorrow, October 8, the National Ballet of Ukraine and the Ukrainian folk dance ensemble Shumka Dancers from Canada will kick off a major tour at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. The day before, an official meeting with the ballet company took place at Ukraine House.

It was a friendly evening with artists and top officials. Petro Chupryna, General Director and Artistic Director of the National Opera of Ukraine, Natalia Matsak, Prima Ballerina of the National Opera of Ukraine, and Mykyta Sukhorukov, Soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine in its struggle for freedom.
On October 8, the National Ballet will perform for the first time at the Kennedy Center, one of the most prestigious venues in the world. The tour is dedicated to the values of freedom and supporting Ukraine in its struggle.
Oksana Markarova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, emphasized that this tour is an opportunity not only to present Ukrainian art, but also to draw attention to the courage of Ukrainians who continue to create during the war.
The tour was organized by the Ginsburg Family Foundation in partnership with the Princeton Entertainment Group. A portion of the proceeds from the concerts will be used for charitable projects in Ukraine, particularly through the HUMANITE organization, which provides assistance to Ukrainian families affected by the war.
