Ukrainian Community Picnic in Boston: Flavors of Ukraine and Friendship in Canton

Ukrainian families and friends gathered on the lawn of Pequitside Farm for the Ukrainian American Community of Boston's picnic, traditionally held on the first Sunday of November in Canton, Massachusetts.

This is stated on the event page

The picnic, as always, was held in a potluck format - everyone brought a homemade Ukrainian dish from their respective region, which turned the event into a mini-festival of Ukrainian cuisine where everyone spoke Ukrainian.

"A typical cake and a good mood! That's what we brought to the 2024 Ukrainian American Picnic on November 3. Ukrainians who currently live in the United States in Massachusetts in the Boston area gathered. Most of them are internally displaced persons from different regions of Ukraine, but there is also a large proportion of those who have been living in the United States for a long time. We talked, shared experiences, and tasted the food everyone brought," said Natalia Palianytsia, a participant in the event, on Facebook.

There was a lot of delicious Ukrainian food that day, which made us feel like we were in Ukraine. The picnic also became a platform for practicing the native language, as one of the conditions of the event is to communicate in Ukrainian.
