The Fernbank Museum in Atlanta has opened the Winter Wonderland holiday exhibition, which brings together Christmas trees and displays from more than 30 countries. This year, for the first time, a Ukrainian Christmas tree was presented with the support of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (Georgia) and the Ukrainian School of Atlanta.

The Ukrainian Christmas tree is decorated with traditional elements that reflect the richness of Ukrainian culture, including Christmas ornaments that recall ancient customs and symbols. The decorations include wooden figures painted in the style of Petrykivka painting in yellow and blue colors, symbolizing the Ukrainian flag. The Christmas tree decorations also include bells symbolizing happiness and success, Christmas stars with eight rays - a symbol of eternal life - and angels, which are traditional symbols of Christmas.
Winter Wonderland, which will run from November 23, 2024 to January 12, 2025, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The exposition showcases a wealth of cultural traditions through arts, crafts, national symbols and decorative displays.
The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America in Georgia encourages Ukrainians to visit the museum during the holidays to see the Ukrainian Christmas tree, take a photo and join in the celebration with different cultures from around the world.
"This is a great opportunity to share our tradition of celebrating Christmas and show how rich Ukrainian culture is," organizers said.
Other countries represented include Germany, Japan, India, Norway, Mexico, Peru, Turkey, Switzerland and many others.
