Biden Administration Denies Claims of Nuclear Weapons Transfer to Ukraine

The United States is not considering the return of the nuclear arsenal to Ukraine, which it voluntarily gave up in 1990.

This was stated by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in an interview with ABC News.

In particular, Sullivan commented on the recent information published in the The New York Times.about the possibility of Ukraine returning its nuclear arsenal.

"That is not under consideration. No, we are providing Ukraine with various conventional capabilities to effectively defend itself and to repel the Russians, not nuclear capabilities," he assured.

Sullivan added that the Biden administration is focused on increasing the supply of military equipment to strengthen Ukraine's position both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table.

"Biden has tasked me with overseeing a significant increase in the military equipment we deliver to Ukraine so that we spend every dollar Congress has given us by the time President Biden leaves office," Sullivan summed up.
