Ukrainian products on the US market: UFMA Opens Representative Office in Chicago

The Ukrainian Food Manufacturers Alliance (UFMA) has officially opened its representative office in the United States. The office in Chicago will ensure the accelerated entry of Ukrainian products into the US market and make #MadeInUkraine products available to US consumers.

This was reported Ukrainian Food Manufacturers Alliance.

"We are proud to announce that the Alliance of Ukrainian Food Producers has taken another significant step in promoting Ukrainian products on the world market: from now on the 𝗨𝗙𝗠𝗔 Representative Office will operate in the United States," the statement said.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova recalled that in October, during events at Ukraine House as part of the IMF and World Bank meetings, American partners were already able to assess the quality of Ukrainian delicacies.

"I sincerely congratulate the Alliance on the opening of its representative office in the United States! I wish you success in promoting Ukrainian products, the high quality of which is yet another proof of the resilience and creativity of Ukrainians!" Markarova said.

The UFMA Alliance was founded in 2022, when Ukrainian producers joined forces to represent their products on international markets despite the difficulties of the war. The idea to create the Alliance was born during participation in the Chicago Venture Summit Future-of-Food 2022, where Ukrainian producers were inspired by examples of successful alliances with the United States. Since then, the alliance has grown to 17 companies and is actively promoting its products through participation in exhibitions, trade missions and B2B meetings.

"It is very important to us that our companies find the strength and resilience to continue production and find new markets in this extremely difficult time. In addition, we are committed to supporting Ukrainian children who have lost their parents due to the war in Ukraine. We are dedicating 20% of the sales of each UAFOODBOX to their needs," said Ruslana Rymarska, President of UFMA.

This event was made possible through the Alliance's cooperation with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Chicago, the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Program, Alla Lopatkina, Chair of the Alliance's Board of Directors, and other partners.

The Chicago office will focus on promoting Ukrainian products in U.S. stores, particularly through initiatives such as the UAFOODBOX gift sets, which include more than 30 products from Alliance members.
