Ukrainian Christmas Concert with Bandurysts' Chapel Held in Washington, DC

The Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family in Washington, D.C. hosted a concert entitled "Ukrainian Christmas" presented by the Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian Bandura Band Choir. The performance was a celebration of Ukrainian culture, combining the flavor of traditional carols with the sound of the bandura, a unique 60-stringed instrument.

This was reported by Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America.

The collective, which has been preserving and popularizing Ukrainian traditions for over a century, presented a program under the direction of artistic director and conductor Oleg Makhlay. The concert not only created a festive atmosphere, but also became a symbol of the resilience of the Ukrainian people, especially in the face of the challenges facing Ukraine.

The 90-minute program brought together musicians from across North America under the direction of Artistic Director and Conductor Oleg Makhlay. The concert not only provided the audience with an unforgettable musical experience, but also became a symbol of the resilience of the Ukrainian people.

"This is more than just a performance - it is a declaration of Ukraine's strength and a tribute to our brave defenders who not only protect our freedom, but also preserve the very essence of our identity. Ukraine's culture, language and traditions are under attack, but events like today's remind us that our spirit cannot be extinguished. Every song sung and every note played is a message to the world: Ukraine will win", - emphasized Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine Denys Sinik during the event.

The event was also a part of support of humanitarian aid for wounded Ukrainian soldiers and development of the Bandura Education Fund. The organizers expressed their gratitude to the sponsors, in particular the Ukrainian Selfreliance Federal Credit Union, for their support, as well as to everyone who participated in this celebration of music and unity.

Such events remind the world that Ukraine is alive and continues to fight for its identity and freedom.
