Ukrainian World Congress donates over $1 million in medical aid to Ukraine

The Ukrainian World Congress' Unite with Ukraine initiative has donated 51 million hryvnias ($1.22 million) in aid to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. This assistance is aimed at strengthening the capabilities of first aid at the front line and saving the lives of Ukrainian defenders.

This was reported by Ukrainian World Congress.

The aid package was prepared jointly with the military intelligence of Ukraine. It contains 4,465 individual first aid kits (IFAKs), 20 Saros portable oxygen concentrators, 40 X-Stat Hemostasis hemostatic applicators, as well as tourniquets, hydrogel bandages, air lines and tactical stretchers.

In turn, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized the importance of this assistance in saving lives and improving the efficiency of military medics.

The DIU Medical Department emphasized that every high-quality tourniquet or device in combat conditions can save lives. Therefore, the constant support of the Ukrainian diaspora is invaluable.

Ukrainian World Congress President Paul Grod stated that strategic cooperation with partners in Ukraine is key to meeting the critical needs of Ukraine's defenders. He noted that combined efforts are helping to build a stronger and more resilient Ukraine.

In total, since 2022, the Ukrainian World Congress has donated UAH 121 million (approximately USD 2.9 million) in aid to the DIU.The “Unite with Ukraine” initiative has raised over $60 million from donors in over 70 countries.

The funds will be used to purchase tactical medicine, medical equipment, armored vehicles and drones to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
