Ukraine House (Washington, DC) hosted an event called "Evening at the Embassy of Ukraine". The purpose of the event was to support Ukraine and learn about its culture.
"Ukraine is a successful independent European country with a rich culture, incredible landscapes and a fascinating history. Despite the fact that Ukraine is going through difficult times and is in the spotlight of all the news and charities, we came together to celebrate its culture and prosperous future", said the organisers of the event, thingstododc.
At the Ukrainian House, the organisers prepared a special evening of culture and an interesting two-hour programme for the guests. This included a Ukrainian buffet with drinks, the menu of which was specially created by a Ukrainian chef. All this was accompanied by live Ukrainian music and folk dances.
Films about the sights, people and culture of Ukraine were shown during the event. Guests could also enjoy an exhibition of authentic Ukrainian paintings and sculptures.
It is worth noting that the event also had a charitable purpose. All proceeds from ticket sales for the event were donated to Ukrainian charities.
