US to support Ukraine regardless of presidential change

Speaking at the Aspen Forum in Colorado, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stressed that Washington is committed to supporting Ukraine for at least 10 years, regardless of who becomes the next US president. He noted that more than 20 NATO countries have signed 10-year bilateral security agreements to help Ukraine.

Blinken stressed that Ukraine must become strong and independent by integrating with the West, and that the US is already leading it down this path. He also noted the bipartisan support for Ukraine in the US Congress.

The Secretary stressed that the United States has been a leader in supporting Ukraine over the past two and a half years and will continue to do so.

More broadly, Blinken said that Putin has already lost by failing to achieve his goals in Ukraine, and that Russia's actions have only strengthened NATO and international support for Ukraine.
