
Ukraine has received $485 million in financial assistance under the Public Expenditure Support for Enhanced Accountability in Ukraine (PEACE in Ukraine) project. Of this amount, $465 million was provided by the United States through USAID, and another $20 million by the World Bank.
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The funds raised are used to cover social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget, including payments to internally displaced persons and persons with disabilities.
Financial transactions under the PEACE in Ukraine project are closely monitored through cooperation with USAID, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Ukraine, and other international organizations to ensure that funds are used efficiently.
The day before, on December 25, the European Union transferred 150 million euros to be used to provide free meals for primary school students, restore infrastructure and support agricultural production.
