The Cathedral of Saints Volodymyr and Olha in Chicago hosted a “Rozkolyada” event that brought together the Ukrainian community to celebrate Christmas and reflect on the meaning of the holiday in times of war. The event was organized by the youth brotherhood of Saints Borys and Hlib with the support of the parish council and local organizations.

Special guests of the celebration were People's Artists of Ukraine Lesia and Halia Telniuk, and actor and director Hryhoriy Hladiy. Their performance was the centerpiece of the event, filling the church with melodies combining Christmas traditions and contemporary resistance art. The program included songs that called for action and inspired faith in the victory of good. The Telnyuk Sisters are known for their unique original poetry and music, which has become a symbol of support for the Ukrainian defenders and a means of raising funds for the needs of the armed forces.
The event began with a welcoming speech, followed by hymns and original songs that created an atmosphere of spiritual uplift and unity. Raskolyada was not only a festive concert, but also an act of cultural resistance, emphasizing the resilience of Ukrainian culture even in times of trial.
