Future Leaders of the Ukrainian Diaspora: UWC Seminar Participants Visit the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, DC

The Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, D.C. hosted a meeting with the participants of the 19th National Leadership Seminar of the Ukrainian Youth Council (CYM), who arrived in the U.S. capital from various states. Along with the youth, their mentors also visited the Embassy. The event was aimed at developing the leadership skills of high school students as future leaders of the Ukrainian diaspora community.

This was reported by Embassy of Ukraine in the USA.

According to the Embassy, holding such seminars at the Embassy has already become a good tradition that strengthens the connection between young people and the diplomatic institutions of Ukraine.

Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Denys Siienik welcomed the participants. He spoke about the work of the Embassy, its priorities and goals, and answered questions from the youth.

The event was also attended by alumni of the Ukrainian Youth Association in the United States. Among these guests was Michael Sawkiw, President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and Director of the Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS), who has become a shining example of leadership, integrity and dedication to the Ukrainian cause for young CYM members.

The Embassy expressed its sincere gratitude to the leadership of CYM in the U.S. for fostering a new generation of Ukrainian diaspora leaders - young, intelligent, open-minded, and inspired by love for Ukraine.
