Ukrainian schools in the United States celebrated Mother's Day in a colorful way: Atlanta, Yonkers, Richmond, Palos Park

Ukrainian communities held touching events, including Mother's Day concerts. In some schools, these concerts were combined with end-of-year celebrations at Ukrainian Saturday schools. The day was a celebration of family, gratitude, love, and the results of a fruitful school year.

At the Ukrainian Studies School in Atlanta, Georgia, the day was filled with emotion, music, and stories. Students presented their mothers with poems, songs, and jokes.

The joy was further enhanced by a musical program featuring a violin ensemble and a theatrical performance of the fairy tale "The Wolf and the Little Goats," prepared by the junior group of the Ukrainian as a Second Language class (teacher: Tamara Naumenko).

The school director thanked the parents, teachers, students, and friends of the school for their continued support.

At the Ukrainian Studies School in Yonkers, New York, younger students presented their parents with an unforgettable theatrical performance of the fairy tale "Dereza the Goat," full of humor, instructional value, and childlike sincerity. The children lovingly transformed into the characters of the Ukrainian folktale, demonstrating artistry and a good knowledge of the language. The holiday combined a concert program with greetings to mothers.

Mother's Day greetings could be heard at St. Mary's School in Richmond, Virginia, these days. Inspired by their teachers, the students of the Ukrainian school presented their mothers with a theatrical and musical performance. They recited poetry, sang heartfelt songs, danced, and expressed their deepest feelings of love, gratitude, and care from the stage. The ensemble directed by Natalia Rusinko was especially notable, as they performed a musical program for the event. The organizers of the event expressed their sincere gratitude to St. Mary's in Richmond for their hospitality and support of Ukrainian education and culture.

The Barvinok Ukrainian Studies School in Palos Park, Illinois, also prepared a colorful program for Mother's Day. Everyone from toddlers to high school students was involved. They recited poetry, sang, performed choreography, and acted in skits. Each class set up stands with greeting cards and flowers for mothers made of paper hearts. In addition to the musical program, the mothers participated in various competitions and entertainment with their students and fathers.
