A significant diplomatic event occurred at the Ukrainian Museum and Archives in Cleveland: a meeting with Audra Plepite, the Lithuanian ambassador to the United States. The Ukrainian Museum and Archives (UMA) and Honorary Consul of Lithuania Ingrida Bublis organized the meeting. UUOhio President George Yaskevich moderated the event.

During the meeting, Ambassador Plepite, who has led Lithuania's diplomatic mission in Washington for four years, discussed her perspective on the security situation in Europe. She emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. The speech was followed by a question-and-answer session that demonstrated the audience's deep interest.
At the end of the event, Yaskevich and Taras Malay, president of UMA, presented the ambassador with commemorative gifts. In turn, Ambassador Plepite presented UUOhio with a commemorative 20-euro coin honoring the Constitution of May 3, 1791 — a significant document in the shared history of Poland and Lithuania. The coin will be on permanent display at UMA.
Guests of honor included representatives from diplomatic missions, government agencies, local authorities, the Jewish community, and public organizations. Among them were Slovenian Consul General Suzana Cesarec; representatives from the offices of the governor and lieutenant governor of Ohio; the mayors of Parma and Seven Hills; and representatives from Global Cleveland, the American Nationalities Movement, and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
"UUOhio expresses its deep gratitude to the Embassy of Lithuania, Honorary Consul Ingrida Bublis, and the UMA team for this meaningful visit and warm welcome," the organization said in a statement.
