The 53rd annual St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Festival kicks off in Rochester. Four Days of Culture, Unity, and Support for Ukraine

One of the largest Ukrainian events in the region, the festival took place at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Rochester, New York. The event featured Ukrainian music, dance, folk art, and delicious traditional cuisine.

This was reported by the festival organizers.

"What an incredible weekend at the 53rd annual St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Festival in Rochester! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Ukrainian culture and spirit—your energy, joy, and support made this year’s festival truly unforgettable. From the vibrant music and traditional dances to the hearty Ukrainian food and warm community spirit, it was a beautiful celebration of culture and heritage,” they said in a statement.

For four days, visitors enjoyed live music, traditional Ukrainian cuisine, beer, children's entertainment, and themed exhibitions. The festive program lasted until late in the evening. At the "Ukrainian Bazaar," visitors could purchase embroidered shirts, ceramics, amber jewelry, icons, Easter eggs, paintings, and souvenirs. There were more than 30 master artisans from the United States and Canada.

The cultural program included performances by folklore groups and folk ensembles, as well as concerts and dance shows every day. There were also Adventures in Climbing attractions for children and youth.

"The dancers were incredible, and the food was great. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together in support of Ukraine during this terrible invasion. A huge thank you to all the cooks, servers, parking attendants, merchants, volunteers, and everyone — great job! We look forward to next year!" said event guests Cindy and Bruce Haynes.

According to the program, visitors could tour the church and pray for peace in Ukraine during the Divine Liturgy.
