On Defenders of Ukraine Day, Ukraine House hosted a presentation of the book "Ukraine Remember Me Too. Testimonies from the War". British artist George Butler collected stories of Ukrainians who found themselves at the epicenter of Russian aggression. His illustrations and the testimonies of Ukrainians continue to inspire the world to support Ukraine. Part of the proceeds from the book will be used to support Ukrainian veterans.
This was reported by Ukraine House.
Ukraine House was honored to host the presentation of the book "Ukraine, Remember Me: Testimonies from the War" by award-winning artist George Butler. Covering the war in Ukraine, Butler has created intimate and powerful illustrations that introduce the world to the people behind the headlines. These portraits of war serve as a poignant reminder of our common humanity and the universal need for peace," the statement said.
The event included a panel discussion moderated by former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William B. Taylor. Along with the book's author, George Butler, European policy expert Olena Davlikanova, and Viktor Burlak, a doctor of social work and clinical psychology, participants discussed the importance of documenting the testimonies of Ukrainians and the challenges the country faces. Special attention was given to mental health and recovery.
In addition to the literary presentation, the evening also had a charitable component. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the Superhumans Lviv Center for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation.
