A unique artistic event “Ukraine Through the Fire” organized by House of Ukraine took place in the Santa Fe Room of the Balboa Park Club cultural complex in San Diego. The charity evening was dedicated to the invincibility of the Ukrainian spirit, and the event combined music, art and fashion.
This was reported House of Ukraine.
“What an incredible evening dedicated to the invincibility of Ukraine and its rich cultural heritage! We are extremely grateful to everyone who came together to support Ukraine and become part of this powerful multimedia performance and fashion show,” the post says.
The Ukraine Through the Fire event reportedly included a concert by prominent Ukrainian violinist Petro Krysa, who performed Ukrainian compositions in modern electronic arrangements by Gene Pritzker, a multimedia presentation featuring works by Ukrainian artists, landscapes, and symbols set against the backdrop of wartime realities, and a catwalk fashion show by Ukrainian ethnic brand Zerno.
It was also noted that after the show, guests had the opportunity to purchase Zerno clothing, and light refreshments were served. Before the main program, those interested could join a workshop on vybyka (traditional Ukrainian printing on fabric).
“Special thanks to Petr Krysa for his amazing violin performance, as well as to Krista Patyk and the ethnic brand “Zerno” for the wonderful fashion show. Your talent and dedication brought Ukrainian history to life in the most touching way,” the organizers added.
According to the organizers, a special atmosphere was created by members of the local community who took to the podium as models, presenting the Zerno collection, and of course, the visitors.
“It was a really cool event, a beautiful collection, delicious food, and professional organization,” said one of the participants, Olena Khanasyk.
“The team, the participants are extraordinary! To the guests present, thank you. Cultural advocacy spreads our traditions and opens up the rich, Ukrainian culture to everyone. Thank you to the committee for your cooperation and tireless enthusiasm to organize such an event!”, shared her impressions Nadiya Heivas.
