A Ukrainian delegation is on a working visit to the US. During the visit, a number of important agreements were reached with American companies to promote energy projects in Ukraine, including potential financing of up to $1.4 billion. The cooperation includes the modernization of energy infrastructure, the development of gas production, and the introduction of new technologies.

“The discussion was devoted to the Ukrainian power grid, which was severely damaged as a result of Russian attacks, and the priorities for its restoration,” the post says.
It is reported that during a meeting with US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, the parties discussed the possibility of attracting financing from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation to modernize energy equipment, in particular in the field of gas production. Cooperation with the Export-Import Bank of the United States was also discussed.
It is also noted that the parties discussed the increase in gas and oil production in Ukraine with the participation of American companies, the development of the vertical gas corridor, the use of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities and the prospects of the Odessa oil terminal.
“We thank the United States for its consistent support, including the recent assistance in the energy sector of Ukraine for 276 million US dollars,” the post notes.
According to representatives of the parties, a number of agreements with companies were also concluded during the visit. In particular, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine signed an agreement with Aspect Holdings to expand hydrocarbon production.
In addition, NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” concluded memorandums of cooperation with Solar Turbines, Baker Hughes and the American Petroleum Institute. They provide for the development of service, training of specialists, the introduction of new technologies and increasing energy efficiency.
"In addition, Naftogaz of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the American Petroleum Institute (API). The cooperation will be aimed at exchanging information on current standards, certifications, technologies and best industry practices in the oil and gas industry, in particular, the participation of Naftogaz experts in the development of API standards," the report summarized.
