In New York, during the annual charity event “Ukrainian Boat Party”, a new humanitarian campaign, the Elevate Ukraine Initiative, was presented, aimed at helping children and families affected by the war in Ukraine. During the first gathering, participants financed over 1,100 portions of food, and the overall goal of the initiative is 10 thousand.
This was reported by USA TODAY.
The annual “Ukrainian Boat Party”, organized by the Ukrainian.US platform, this year brought together over 600 representatives of the Ukrainian community in New York. The event is designed to support humanitarian initiatives, popularize Ukrainian culture and unite Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine.
The main event of the evening was the launch of the Elevate Ukraine Initiative humanitarian campaign, which was presented by the founder of Elevated Media, Gino Veneroso. The initiative aims to provide food to children and families whose lives have been affected by war.
Elevated Media has pledged to fund 10,000 meals for children in difficult humanitarian situations.
During the campaign presentation, event participants made donations that will already be enough to provide over 1,100 meals. One of the first benefactors was Charles DeBenedittis, who funded the first 300 meals and joined the official launch of the initiative.
The campaign presentation took place on board a ship during a cruise in New York Harbor. Organizers noted that the Statue of Liberty became a symbolic backdrop for the event, emphasizing the ideas of freedom, resilience, and international solidarity with Ukraine.
Christian Burns, Sasha Tab, Metenka, and Nargiz also performed during the event.
According to the organizers, the Ukrainian Boat Party has already become a traditional platform for uniting the Ukrainian community and implementing charitable initiatives in support of Ukraine. Special thanks were expressed to the Ukrainian.US platform and organizers Denis Kanel and Yuri Yurkovsky for developing the community and supporting humanitarian projects.
Ukrainian.US noted that the Elevate Ukraine Initiative campaign corresponds to international efforts to combat hunger and support people affected by the war. The organizers called on business representatives, public organizations and everyone who wants to join the fundraising to achieve the goal of providing 10 thousand servings of food for children and families in Ukraine.
