
On September 1, Ukraine won its second gold medal at the Paralympic Games 2024 thanks to an incredible performance by Oksana Zubkovska. The athlete became the champion in the T12 long jump with an impressive result of 5.78 meters.

This victory was Zubkovska's fifth gold medal in five Paralympic Games, confirming her outstanding achievements on the international stage. Her world and Paralympic long jump record of 6.60 meters was set at London 2012.

Swimmer Oleksandr Komarov won the first gold medal for Ukraine at these Games on August 30, winning the 100m freestyle (class S5).

The Ukrainian team has now won 22 medals. Over the three days of competition, the athletes have already won 19 medals, with the most medals coming in swimming.
The 2024 Paralympics will last until September 8, and today is the fourth day of competition.
