The warmth of family unity: Chicago's Ukrainian Community Celebrates Rodyna Feast

In Chicago, the Ukrainian community gathered at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral to celebrate the Family Feast to thank God for the blessed time of summer. They shared delicious food at the family table, enjoyed live music by talented amateurs, and fun activities for children.

This is reported on the page of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral.

The Family Festival began after the Sunday service at St. Nicholas Cathedral, where parishioners and guests gathered for a family celebration.

The host, Bohdana Chepil, emphasized the importance of family values, and children and teenagers performed vocal and choreographic performances, including students from the Creative Children Studio and soloists from Smart Minds. The guests also enjoyed the singing performances of the Prykarpattia Quintet and the Trioda Band and other young soloists.

Father Pavlo Drozdiak blessed the audience, emphasized prayers for the family and peace in Ukraine, and thanked the Ukrainian military for its support. The Ukrainian Women's Union of the United States Chapter 36 collected donations for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

During the festival, guests were able to purchase souvenirs, sample Ukrainian food, and enjoy the family atmosphere and warm September sunshine.
