Libraries of seven Ukrainian schools in the United States of America have received books from Ukraine as part of the charity event "Ukrainian Children - Ukrainian Books".
This was reported on the website of the campaign.
"As part of the largest charity event "Ukrainian Children - Ukrainian Books", we continue to create the right conditions for reading for Ukrainians, regardless of their place of residence. We are pleased to announce that 7 Ukrainian schools in the United States have received new books from Ukraine!"
It is noted that such an action should help provide access to quality Ukrainian literature for children living abroad, while maintaining a connection with their native language and culture.
The "Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Children" charity event has been running since 2022. The goal is to provide free textbooks, study guides, and fiction to children and adults who have been forced to relocate to escape Russian aggression. Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined the campaign, helping Ukrainian books cross borders to give Ukrainian children the opportunity to read in their native language. In addition, the campaign continued with the initiatives "Ukrainian Defenders - a Ukrainian Book" and "Ukrainian Youth - a European Book".
