Children's Soloveyky Choir celebrates its 10th Anniversary

In Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, the Ukrainian children’s ensemble Soloveyky of the Ukrainian Institute of Music and Arts (Philadelphia Branch) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a charity concert at the UECC Ukrainian Center.

The milestone event was marked with a vibrant concert program. The children's vocal ensemble Soloveyky together with other creative groups, showcased their artistic achievements under the direction of Halyna Bodnar, accompanied by pianist Luba Shchuiko.

“The ensemble's life is filled with concerts, performances at festivals, trips, as well as meticulous and tireless work to ensure the children perform with dignity”, shared Halyna Bodnar about the group’s activities.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, specifically the 110th Mechanized Brigade, which is carrying out combat missions in the Pokrovsk direction.

The anniversary event concluded with a group performance of the song "Mnohaya Lita!" by the ensemble members and words of gratitude from the guests to the leaders of the collective for their fruitful work in instilling a love for Ukrainian songs in children. 

“We sincerely thank our mentors, Ms. Halyna Bodnar and Ms. Luba Shchuiko, for their tireless efforts and love for Ukraine, which they instill in the hearts of our children!” said Olena Malynovych, one of the event participants, expressing gratitude for the celebration.
