Ukrainian Community in Cambridge Raises Funds for Children with Christmas Concert

A benefit Christmas concert was held at the Harvard-Epworth United Methodist Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The event brought together the Ukrainian community and anyone who wanted to support children and women affected by the war in Ukraine.

This was reported by Ukrainian Cultural Center of New England.

The concert featured popular Christmas songs such as "Shchedryk," "Carol of the Bells," "Silent Night" and others. The main performers were Valeria Vovk, a well-known Ukrainian singer, songwriter and producer, and jazz pianist Fima Chupakhin, nominated for the Best Composer of the Year award at the 2019 Ukrainian Film Awards. Their performances brought warmth and real Christmas magic to the guests of the evening.

All the funds raised will be transferred to the City of Good charity foundation, the largest shelter for women and children in Ukraine. The money will be used to create a space for art therapy and a library for seriously ill patients, orphans and children from evacuation zones.

The organizers thanked everyone who contributed to this noble cause and promised more exciting events in 2025.
