Longwood знову запалав українським вогнем – 15-16 лютого в Орландо у Reiter Park, штат Флорида, відбувся щорічний український фестиваль “Ватра”. Це – масштабна та незабутня подія для української громади та гостей міста, яка наступного року відзначає свій п’ятий ювілей. Упродовж двох днів відвідувачі мали змогу насолодитися атмосферою справжнього українського свята, відчути дух єдності та підтримати Україну.

The festival, organized by the Ukrainian Project, brought together more than a thousand guests who had the opportunity to experience authentic Ukrainian culture through traditional music, gastronomy, fashion and folk crafts.
Music and dance performances were the main attraction of the festival. Vocal ensembles performed popular Ukrainian songs, and dance groups impressed the audience with their skills and colorful costumes. Both local artists and invited guests from Ukraine, including People's Artist of Ukraine Oksana Bilozir and the Malgivski Sisters band, performed on the stage.
Another fascinating part of the celebration was the gastronomic zone, where visitors could taste traditional Ukrainian dishes prepared according to authentic recipes. Delicious borsch, juicy dumplings with various fillings, tasty stuffed cabbage and homemade broth.
The real gem of the event was the embroidery show, which featured traditional costumes from different regions of Ukraine. Visitors had an opportunity to see exquisite outfits, embroidered shirts, plakhtas and hats that told about the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people.
The folk craftsmen's fair, where one could buy exclusive Ukrainian souvenirs, jewelry and handmade products, also attracted great interest. For families with children, the organizers prepared an entertainment program, which included exciting master classes, fun contests and themed photo zones.
One of the most important aspects of the festival was the charity initiative. Part of the funds collected during the event will be donated to support Ukraine.
