The annual celebration took place at Flounder Brewing in Hillsborough, New Jersey. This year, the event brought visitors together to enjoy Ukrainian culture, live music, crafts, and a charity fundraiser supporting Razom for Ukraine's humanitarian projects.
This was reported by the event organizer, Flounder Brewing.
"This is more than a festival. It's our way of saying: We stand with Ukraine," said the organizers.
For one day, the American brewery became a center of Ukrainian culture. Guests could taste traditional Ukrainian delicacies from Cas' Pierogi & Kielbasa Truck, enjoy accordion music performed by "Walt," and visit a handmade fair featuring local Ukrainian artisans.
"What an incredible evening! With music, food, and beer, everyone who came to the Barn became Ukrainian for one night! We thank Walt for the enchanting accordion melodies, Cas' Pierogi & Kielbasa Truck for the delicious food and donations, and the Soloway Band for bringing the energy to the stage. And, of course, a big shout-out to our awesome dancers who lit up the dance floor!" said the organizers.
The highlight of the evening was the Soloway Band's performance, and the Iskra Ukrainian Dance Ensemble turned the brewery's barn into a dance floor.
A special beer with the fitting name "Putin Hu@lo" was presented at the event, adding a symbolic touch.
The organizers note that they have collected over $20,000 in humanitarian aid in support of Ukraine. All donations will be transferred to the Razom for Ukraine organization.
“We are still calculating the final amount, but we are sure that several thousand dollars have been added to the $20,000 collected for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The need has not disappeared, and our support will not stop either. Helping war victims rebuild their lives and communities is not about politics. It is about humanity. We thank everyone who continues to stand with us and donate to bring hope, healing, and reconstruction," the organizers concluded.
