Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna participated in the annual EU Defense Night forum, which brought together representatives from Ukraine, the United States, and the European Union to discuss the future of European and transatlantic security. The forum focused on defense innovation, joint weapons production, industrial cooperation, and the application of Ukraine’s battlefield experience in countering Russian aggression.

Participants emphasized that Ukraine’s combat experience now plays a key role in shaping modern approaches to European and NATO security. Discussions explored opportunities to deepen cooperation among European, American, and Ukrainian defense companies, as well as ways to scale up technological solutions that have already proven effective during Russia’s full-scale invasion.
European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius delivered the keynote address and joined a panel discussion on EU–U.S. defense industry cooperation alongside Michael Duffy, U.S. Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment. A significant portion of the discussion focused on expanding joint production with Ukrainian enterprises and integrating Ukrainian defense technologies into international supply chains.
Evelyn Buchatsky, representing D3 Venture Capital, also participated in the discussion, stressing that new technologies ultimately prove their value under real combat conditions. He highlighted the importance of direct cooperation between American companies and Ukrainian partners and noted that broader access to investment is essential for the continued growth of Ukraine’s defense innovation ecosystem.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the United States thanked its European partners for their steadfast support of Ukraine and underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between the European Union and the United States to reinforce shared security. The Embassy noted that Ukraine’s participation in international forums such as EU Defense Night helps integrate its defense experience into the collective security architecture while fostering new forms of partnership in defense technologies.
