Representatives of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Medical Forces Undergo Training in the United States

Representatives of the Medical Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently undergoing training in the United States. The delegation is participating in field exercises with the U.S. Army’s 44th Medical Brigade, the international Special Operations Medical Assembly (SOMA) conference, and a course on prolonged field care.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The field training conducted by the 44th Medical Brigade of the U.S. Army introduces Ukrainian specialists to the organization of medical support in field conditions, the work of medical units, and the practical coordination of military medical teams during training scenarios.

As part of the program, Ukrainian military medics also joined the Special Operations Medical Assembly (SOMA), one of the leading international platforms in the fields of special operations medicine and tactical medicine. The event brings together military medics, instructors, researchers, and security representatives from NATO member states and partner countries.

The General Staff emphasized that participation in SOMA allows Ukrainian specialists to become familiar with modern clinical approaches, new organizational solutions, and advanced technologies for providing medical care in combat conditions.

The training also promotes the exchange of experience between Ukrainian and international professionals and helps establish professional connections with leading experts in military medicine.

Special attention during the program is dedicated to prolonged field care training. These skills are especially important in modern warfare, where the evacuation of wounded soldiers may be complicated by active combat operations or threats from the enemy.
