Ukrainian-Canadian athlete Ilya Harun wins bronze medal for Canada in 200-meter diving

Six other athletes with Ukrainian roots are representing Canada at these Olympic Games! 

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress introduced these athletes:

Yuri Kisil (28) - competing in the men's 100-metre freestyle. He participated in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. 

Penny Oleksiak (24) - gold, silver and bronze medalist in freestyle swimming at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Tyler Mislawchuk (29) - Men's triathlon. He competed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.  

Kristen Kit (35) - competed at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro and 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, winning gold in the women's eight sculls at the 2020 Games. 

Danny Demyanenko (30) - will be making his first Olympic debut as a member of the Canadian national volleyball team. He will play as a middle blocker.

Kelly Olynyk (33) - participated in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro as a member of the men's basketball team. Outside of the Olympics, he plays for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association.
