US cities mark fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine

In the US capital and a number of American cities, the Ukrainian community, together with diplomats, clergy and local activists, held rallies to mark the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, reaffirming their unwavering support for Ukraine and its fight for freedom.

Unity march near the Lincoln Memorial

On Saturday, representatives of the Ukrainian community, diplomats and American supporters of Ukraine gathered near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington to mark the fourth anniversary of the start of the full-scale war.

The march, organized by Ukrainian organizations with the support of the embassy, ​​brought together hundreds of people.

“Together with the Ukrainian community and supporters from across the United States and around the world, we marked four years since the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, united in our commitment to freedom and a just peace,” the diplomatic institution said in a statement.

Among the participants of the action were the EU Ambassador to the US Jovita Nelyupšene, Pastor Mark Burns, Ukrainian veteran Andriy Smolensky, as well as the CEO of the National Coalition Supporting Eurasian Jewry Mark Levin.

Deputy Head of Mission of the Ukrainian Embassy Denys Senyk emphasized that supporting Ukraine is the best investment in the security of the Euro-Atlantic region and the world.

According to CNN, in the afternoon, hundreds of people marched along the National Alley to the residence of the Russian ambassador. The participants chanted “More sanctions against Russia” and called the Russian Federation a “terrorist state.”

One of the organizers of the march, the founder of the organization US Ukrainian Activists Nadiya Shaporynska, has reaffirmed her hope for the effectiveness of the negotiations between the US, Ukraine and Russia.

“Ukraine wants a just peace. A just and lasting peace, and Ukraine is doing everything possible to ensure that peace comes as soon as possible,” she noted.

Some posters also addressed the potential disqualification of Ukrainian skeleton athlete Vladyslav Geraskevych from the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Support in Boston

Plast Boston also joined the events in support of Ukraine on the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion.

The Scouts came out to demonstrate solidarity with the Ukrainian people and emphasize the need for continued international support.

Arts and Culture Event in New York

Allies of the 30th Division of the Ukrainian Women’s League of America visited the Ukrainian Museum, which opened its doors for a free public event to commemorate the anniversary of the invasion.

In partnership with artist Maya Hayuk, the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, Razom for Ukraine, Yara Arts Group, and the New York Bandura School, workshops, film screenings, poetry readings, and musical performances were held.

The organizers emphasized that the event was an opportunity to come together, support each other, and once again demonstrate solidarity with Ukraine.

“In joint prayer, art, and words, we demonstrated: we remember, we unite, we act,” the participants noted.

Rally and prayer in San Francisco

In San Francisco, students, parents, and teachers of the Ukrainian School of St. Princess Olga gathered at Harry Bridges Plaza to join the rally.

“In unity, our strength!” the organizers emphasized.

According to the information Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church, the event began with a joint prayer with the participation of clergy from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic and Orthodox churches.

On the first Sunday of Great Lent, the city also served a Liturgy in memory of the Heavenly Hundred and the defenders of Ukraine who died defending the state in different periods of history.

The organizers emphasized that such events unite people of different nationalities around common values ​​– peace, freedom and justice, and international support strengthens faith in Ukraine’s victory and brings a just peace closer.

Texas stands for Ukraine

On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian community in Austin, Texas also gathered near the Capitol in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the people of Ukraine.

“Our Ukrainian community in Austin, Texas, Austin Texas Ukrainian Community gathers near the Texas State Capitol every Saturday – all the years of the full-scale war. We come out to demand support for Ukraine. To demand help for Ukraine. To remind the world that the war continues. And today is no exception,” noted one of the participants of the Austin Texas Ukrainian Community.
